Ife Olatona is a Nigerian engineering student in his late teens. Named a Foyle Young Poet of the Year by The Poetry Society U.K in 2019, a 2020 winner of The Center for Fiction’s National Teen Storyteller Award, and a 2020 Ledbury Poetry Young Person’s Prize finalist, his fiction and poetry have appeared or are forthcoming in the Harvard-based Transition Magazine, The African Writers, Nottingham Poetry Exchange’s Voices anthology and elsewhere. Following his first T.V appearance at 15, he began advocacy against poor reading culture and ageism. A judge for one of The Poetry Society U.K’s 2020 August poetry challenges for young poets, Ife has edited Christian publications and currently serves on the editorial board of The Adroit Journal. Featured in The New York Times, The Paris Review, Best American Poetry, and The Pushcart Prizes, The Adroit Journal is a leading American literary magazine founded by Peter LaBerge.
